Is software required to operate a Electronic Cash Drawer?

Yes, you will need some sort of point of sales software or a shortcut which will send signals to your Cash Drawer. You cannot plug the Cash Drawer straight into your computer or other hardware and expect it to open.

You will also need either a receipt printer or a USB/Serial trigger which will trigger your drawer to open.
