Setting up Epson Ethernet Printer for VIVIPOS I - VP2525

  1. Please ensure your Printer IP Address is fixed. For instructions click here.
  2. Navigate to Printer Sharing section in the Control Panel.
  3. Click Add Printer

  4. Type in the Printer name (mandatory), location (optional) and Description (optional), then click continue.
  5. Select the Device Internet Printing Protocol (ipp) and click continue.


  6. In the device URI, type in the IP address of the printer with the following format: socket://192.168.1.105

    We are using the ip address 192.168.1.105 in this example. Click Continue
  7. Choose Raw under the list of Make, and click Continue


  8. Click Raw Queue (en) for the Model list, then click Add Printer.


  9. The adding of the Ethernet receipt printer is now completed. Exit from the CUPS screen, and go to Devices in Control Panel to configure it to be used by ViViPOS. In the Devices Screen, under the Port of the network printer, you should now see a new entry called “CUPS/EPSON” (the will display the printer name that you have added previously). Simply select it, and also configure the correct baud rate of the printer. The printer should now be ready for use.

  10. Navigate to Devices to map your printer for printing receipts and checks.
  11. Under Port drop down menu select the newly configured printer. It will show up as CUPS/EPSON for the printer we have just added.
  12. Modify/Save your settings.
