Guide to Using Dropbox

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily.
Never email yourself a file again! Once installed dropbox is very straight forward to use.

How do I add or upload files to my Dropbox?

Once Installed a Folder called Dropbox will be created on your computer. Anything that is placed in this folder will be automatically synced to the web ready to be accessed by other computers with Dropbox installed.

  1. Move your files into your Dropbox by dragging and dropping them into your Dropbox folder.
  2. Using Save As  in most applications will allow you to save files directly into your Dropbox folder.

How do I share folders with other people?

When you create a shared folder and add other people to it, its files will appear in their Dropbox just as they do in yours. Any member of the folder can add, delete, or edit files within that folder.

How do I share a link to files and folders?

Make a link to files or folders in your Dropbox and quickly share your photos, docs, presentations, and videos with friends and colleagues - even if they don't have Dropbox.
Once you do, you can send the link to anyone over email, IM, text message. Friends and family who use the link can preview the files and folders through their browser.
